In 2013, Nicole Gunawansa (W&L ’14) and Emmanuel Abebrese (W&L ’15), worked on service projects in the health and education sectors in Ghana. Their work provided networking opportunities to form partnerships with schools and healthcare facilities in Ghana. Emmanuel Abebrese worked as a Davis Projects for Peace Fellow while Nicole worked as Shepherd Intern. While in Ghana they started working with organizations in Virginia, USA to collect books and computers for the kids they were teaching. These were shipped to Ghana and distributed in partnership with The Apostolic Church, Ghana.
