Creating jobs for Ghanaian parents through social enterprise
Purpose
We aim to employ mothers of the children we work with to make American designed clothing in Ghana with Ghanaian fabric for the American market. This project will create jobs and generate additional funding to cover CFK’s operational costs.
Rationale
We want to increase the family incomes of children in our leadership programs who are at risk of dropping out of school because they cannot afford tuition and school supplies. We expect that by employing these mothers, they will earn enough money to keep their children, our students, in our partner schools so they can benefit from our training programs.
